The term semi-conductor includes ICs, transistors and diodes. The IC testers are classified into "Digital IC tester LI-255" (upper left ) and "OP-amp tester 360", both are manual testers useful for checking individual ICs in the laboratories rather than the automatic sorting in the production lines. "Transistor tester 105" checks transistors including the FETs and diodes.

The "Tube tester 3001D" (lower right) evaluates the receiver tubes and small transmitter tubes by measuring each electrodes' current and the dynamic gm at 1 kHz under the optional bias conditions. Voltage settings and current/gm readouts are done digitally.
