MEASUREMENTS OF R, C & L

Measuring instruments for resistance R, capacitance C and its dissipation factor D, and inductance L and its quality factor Q are classified into two groups: The Impedance bridges and the LCR meters. The bridges, known as inherently error immune methods, are still used now for the precise measurements, while the production lines require the automatic digital LCR meter (sometimes called as Impedance meter) for the measurement of the large quantities of the components.

Pictures above show the typical portable "Mini Bridge D1S" (upper left) and the desktop type "Impedance Bridge 12K" (upper right). D1S is the compact, battery operated ±0.2% (basic accuracy) manual bridge with digital readouts. 12K is the full equipped 4 decades precision bridge with the resolution of 50ppm of the full scale readings.

Pictures above show " LCR meter D-57" (upper right) and " Paint film tester D-55A" (upper left). D-57 is the flagship model of our digital fleet with quick response display and DC-R measuring position. The derivative product from the LCR meter is the Paint Film Tester which evaluates the durability of the paint film coated on the metal structure by measuring the AC impedance of the film itself. While the functions are limited for the exclusive purpose, the AC/DC sources are furnished for the field use. We also supply the "Capacitance Meter KC-3000/KS-3000" for the maintenance of the submarine optical cable laid across the ocean.
